Let’s play catch up!


On Reading

I’ll admit, I’ve been MIA most of this week, at least as far as blogging is concerned. It’s been tough getting used to my new college/work schedule and I’ve got much reading to do in my spare time leaving me a lot less time on my plate than last semester to spend working on my blog.

Most of the reading, well heck, I’ll admit, all of the reading I am doing right now is for classes. I am currently reading Parable of the Sower by Octavia E. Butler. It’s for class, but I am more than loving the story. It has so much going on within it. It’s a definite must read if you haven’t read it already. It seems we are going to be focusing on speculative fiction in my class, which I am quite glad, because I am realizing what a fan I am of it.


On RV Living

I’ve also done some thinking as far as RV living is concerned, and at the moment, my mind is set on getting a house again in the future. I am at least a year plus away from my goal, but I miss having a home to call my own. The perfect place to unwind on the weekends, and a place where I can set up my own little creative corner where I can write, or create as I so choose. RV living still very much intrigues me, but perhaps I will save that for a future date in my life (like when I retire). For now, I will just travel the old fashioned way, by car, and share my experiences under the Coddiwomple tab above.


On My Novel

Another thing you may be wondering about is how’s my book coming along? Well, lets just say, with the way my schedule works out this semester it doesn’t leave me a lot of time to write outside of what I am required for homework. For some reason, I seem to have an abundance of homework this semester, and I decided not to pressure myself additionally by setting a writing requirement for my own in-progress novel.

I have had to grudgingly accept that it may be summertime before I have the opportunity to return to my novel.


On Healthy Living

I am not sure what day I am on, but I will say I am still logging my meals diligently in the My Fitness Pal app. I can’t say things have been perfect, I have gone over on my calorie count a few times since I last blogged about my experience, but I’ve also lost 5 lbs total, so something is going right. I have NOT kept up with my exercise regimen. I am ashamed to admit that I still have not figured out how to fit the extra walking and strength training exercises into my routine. It’s still a mystery to me with such a varied schedule, I envy people who have endless energy and can always find time to fit exercise into their routine!


Well that’s about it for me tonight, I have to get back to reading 😉
