I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Ours was very pleasant, it was a nice cozy atmosphere – no stress, just chilling and some mowing down of the typical fair turkey and ham. I get a lot of working in during the Thanksgiving break – great for the paycheck, not for the feet – as I stand on my feet all day, but I am recovering and things are going well.
Of course today it is back to reality, with classes starting up again and getting closer to the end of the semester the stress is going to start kicking things up a notch soon, but that’s not what is really on my mind right now. All I can really think about is Christmas, and what to get all my favorite peeps for the lovely upcoming holiday.
I love giving gifts, it is my favorite thing to do, and I love getting creative with my gift buying – either with themes, or something else to make it special, so instead of getting just a store bought gift from me, you are getting something that I hope you will use and remember for years to come.
I can’t give away any of my ideas for this season, as there are too many potential readers that could share these ideas with the ones I love – so for now. We will just have to leave it at – it’s going to be special, it’s going to mean something, and it’s going to be useful for years to come!
I have to admit outright with the fever of working and catching up on my much needed rest afterwards, I have neglected my reading and writing a bit. I promise, now that the Thanksgiving “work” rush is over with things will probably calm down a bit – and in just a few short weeks, the semester break will start and I will be more than happy to fill my blog with stories and more reviews on books I’m reading with my extra time!
In the meantime – enjoy the holidays!
